Web application development by Softlance

We build web applications with Next.js, React and TypeScript — everything from a marketing site that has to rank, to a multi-tenant SaaS platform with billing, roles and an admin backend. The stack is chosen for what the project needs, not for what we happen to like this year.

Performance and search visibility are part of the build, not a phase bolted on afterwards. Pages are server-rendered by default so crawlers and AI assistants read real HTML, Core Web Vitals are measured on every deploy, and structured data ships with the page rather than being retrofitted six months later.

Accessibility is treated the same way: keyboard paths, focus states and screen-reader semantics are reviewed before a feature is called done.

What you get

Server-rendered application

Real HTML on first response, so Google, Bing and AI crawlers see your content without executing JavaScript.

Core Web Vitals budget

LCP, CLS and INP tracked per deploy with a budget that fails the build when it regresses.

Technical SEO baseline

Sitemap, robots rules, canonicals, Open Graph images and JSON-LD structured data wired in from the start.

Component library

A documented, reusable set of UI components so the tenth page costs a fraction of the first.

Web Development — frequently asked questions

How much does a web application cost?

A polished marketing site with a CMS is a small fixed-price project. A SaaS product with authentication, billing and an admin area is scoped in phases, with the first usable release quoted separately from the roadmap after it. You get the number in writing before we start.

Why Next.js instead of WordPress?

For a content site that a non-technical team edits daily, WordPress can be the right answer and we will say so. For anything with custom logic, user accounts, integrations or serious performance requirements, Next.js is faster, cheaper to maintain and far easier to secure.

Will the site rank on Google and appear in AI answers?

We build for both. Server-rendered HTML, clean heading structure, structured data and a real sitemap are what Google indexes and what ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews read when they cite a source. We do the technical half; ongoing content is where you or a content partner take over.

Can you take over an existing codebase?

Yes. We start with an audit — architecture, dependencies, test coverage, security — and hand you a written assessment with a prioritised plan before committing to a rebuild or a rescue.
